I cannot remember ever seeing an opponent in this style of wrestling shoe. Does anyone know the time circa for these? I picked these up at a neighbours garage sale, who said they thought thier son wrestled in them in the mid 70's, but they were not sure.

Fascinating shoes that look back do a different wrestling age :-) You can't beat black and white for wrestling shoes, really...

they were popular at High Schools between 1976-1980 In the US states in the Pacific Northwest, if you ever get a chance to see "Takedown" movie starring Lorenzo Lamas you'll see the white and black pairs on the wrestlers.
